With the promotion of the major investment plan of State Grid, the public's many beautiful expectations for a convenient and green energy life in the future are gradually moving from vision to reality. On January 15, the State Grid announced that fixed assets investment during the "15th Five Year Plan" period is expected to reach 4 trillion yuan, an increase of 40% over the "14th Five Year Plan" period.
The core focus of this investment is to build a smarter and greener power grid system, which will drive the coordinated development of the entire industry chain of the new power system, promote the annual increase of about 200 million kilowatts of wind and solar new energy installed capacity in the operating area, and help steadily increase the proportion of non fossil energy consumption to 25%.

Energy is the 'blood' of economic and social operation; The power grid is the "artery" and "capillary" that configure energy. The 4 trillion yuan investment deployment this time is based on this core positioning. It is not only necessary to accurately solve the problem of "being able to produce, unable to deliver, and not using well" new energy such as wind and solar power, but also to make every effort to break through the bottlenecks and difficulties in the entire energy production, transmission, and consumption chain, so that clean electricity can flow smoothly to thousands of industries and truly benefit thousands of households.
Green transformation is the core direction of this power grid investment, and every investment is precisely aligned with the actual needs of the "dual carbon" target. From the endless array of photovoltaic panels on the Qinghai desert to the wind blown clusters on the Inner Mongolia grassland, these continuously generated green electricity urgently need to be transmitted across mountains and seas to various parts of the country through upgraded and iterated power grids.

At the same time as strengthening the "main artery" of the power grid, the upgrading of the "capillary" of the distribution network is also simultaneously underway. State Grid will continue to promote the construction of distribution networks in urban, rural, and remote areas, actively explore end of pipe guarantee and off grid microgrid models, and comprehensively improve the reliability of power supply in remote areas.Need tailored solutions?
